American Osteopathic College of Dermatology

Ziering Medical is proud to be associated with the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Since 1958, the AOCD has sought to:

• improve the standards of the practice of dermatology
• stimulate the study and extend knowledge in the field of dermatology
• promote a more general understanding of the nature and scope of services rendered to other divisions of practice, hospitals, clinics and the public by osteopathic dermatologists.

To date, approximately 229 physicians have been certified by the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, with membership presently consisting of 268 physician members, 62 dermatology residents, and 66 student members. Residents are trained in fully approved and accredited training universities and teaching hospitals throughout the United States.

The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology has grown tremendously over the last five decades to become a strong and influential specialty college. The presence of the AOCD is well established in academic and clinical settings throughout the United States. American Osteopathic College of Dermatology is an affiliate of the American Osteopathic Association, and is dedicated to promoting the practice of osteopathic dermatology on a national level.
